White Buffalo Websites is a product of White Buffalo LLC, located in Hopkins, Minnesota. White Buffalo creates responsive websites and mobile apps. Our mobile products are available on the App Store for iPad®, iPhone®, and iPod Touch®, and Google Play for Android™. Our websites are designed to work on smarphones, tablets, laptops and desktops.

Susan Metoxen is the owner and lead developer of White Buffalo LLC. She is a PHP/mySQL, iOS, and Android developer. In addition to her work at White Buffalo, Susan is involved in education. She founded the Minneapolis and Phoenix chapters of Girl Develop It and she is an adjunct instructor at Saint Paul College. Susan also has extensive experience in health care administration, including Medicaid managed care, provider relations, and hospital accounts receivable. She has an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a B.A. from Calvin College in Grand Rapids Michigan. Susan's Portfolio.

Bob Metoxen is responsible for communications, photography, videography and professional voice work. Bob has 25 years of experience radio broadcasting and 15 years experience in law enforcement. He has a bachelors degree from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Why is the company named, "White Buffalo"?

The Lakota Indians believe that the birth of a white buffalo means that there will be a time of prosperity and peace. We think this is a wonderful omen. In honor of the Lakota belief our logo pictures the white buffalo as a young calf next to the larger adult buffalo.

White Buffalo Fun Facts:

  • Some native American religions consider the birth of a white buffalo to be a sacred sign.
  • Buffalos can breed with cattle. There is a buffalo-cattle crossbreed called a "beefalo".
  • Many white buffalos are actually part cattle, which is one possible cause of the white color.
  • The National Bison Association estimates that a white buffalo is born in only one out of every 10 million births.
  • A white buffalo named Miracle lived for many years in Janesville, Wisconsin. Many Sioux Indians came to see her.
